Porcelain Crowns

Porcelain Inlays and Onlays
Porcelain inlays and onlays are custom-crafted porcelain fillings. Rather than being applied directly to the tooth like white fillings or the old metal fillings, they are made in our dental laboratory according to our dentists' instructions. Then when the tooth has been completely cleared of all decay and debris, they are placed in the cavity, where they fit exactly. Then the dentist bonds them to the tooth, so that now they are a part of that tooth and will hold it together strongly. Your inlay or onlay will be made from a porcelain that matches your teeth so closely that nobody will know you have a filling.
White Fillings
White fillings are made from a white composite material that resembles putty. It is similar to the substance that is used for dental bonding.
White composite fillings are a quick procedure, done chairside with no laboratory involved. The composite is hardened with a curing light once it is well-placed. It will match your tooth color very closely and help strengthen the filled tooth.
Dental Bridge

Three types of dental bridges are available: the conventional bridge, cantilever bridge and resin-bonded bridge. They are attached in different ways, according to what your dental conditions require.
The Problem with Metal Fillings
At Exceptional Dentistry we do not offer metal fillings. It has been determined that they contribute to tooth fractures. A metal filling is tightly packed into the cavity to hold it in place. Over time, the filling contracts and expands in response to hot and cold food and drink. This contraction and expansion eventually causes a fracture in the tooth. Porcelain fillings are temperature-resistant and bonded to the tooth for added strength to prevent fractures.
