"Took my 4 week old son to get looked at for lip and tongue ties, and the dentist was so knowledgeable about the problems she was seeing in him. All of the staff was so accommodating to us and our needs. They had a separate room to have him in that was perfect for feeding him afterwards. Very clean and nice place. Highly recommend for any tongue or lip releases."

Absolutely amazing! From the moment you walk through their door you are greeted by the fantastic ladies at the front desk. So warm and welcoming! I have anxiety about going to the dentist and Dr. Alexia makes me feel so comfortable with her kind and caring personality. Along with Amy who assisted this week with Dr. Alexia is awesome! They go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and you can tell they truly care about you!
If I could choose less than one star I would. Scheduled new patient appointment for myself as I just moved to the area. I made it very clear verbally as well as on the online forms which asked the reason for my visit that I was coming in for a small chipped tooth repair. The dental assistant was rude and not listening to me and indicating I would need to come back at a separate time for the tooth repair that today was for cleaning and x-rays. I explained that I had scheduled for something else today. Not what I signed up for. Not what I said over the phone and also in the online form. Again, I was there for a tooth repair nothing else as that is all the time I have today per my schedule. I understand if x-rays would need to be taken and that's fine however I was not told I would have to come back separately to have my tooth fixed prior to driving 30 minutes one way to give them a shot. It's like nobody over there was listening to me. My initial appointment was scheduled in December and I had to cancel it due to a family death as well as the flu. The dental assistant snidely mentioned that I "failed my appointment in December". What are rude and unprofessional thing to say to a brand new patient. I'm used to going to an excellent dentist in the Naperville area who never treated me that way over the course of 15 years. Unless you want to be treated like crap, stay very far away. I got up and just walked out... You guys need to learn how to treat people. If you'd like to take a lesson or two from my Naperville dentist please ask me. I would be happy to provide you his information. Lame!! SMH
My two and a half week old daughter had a lip tie and posterior tongue tie released by Dr. Berning. She was amazing and so thorough with explanation on everything and instructions for us at home. Very happy with the results and care from her and her team. Definitely recommend. 😊

Omg Exceptional Dentistry is just that “EXCEPTIONAL “.The entire appointment was professional and caring… I went to their bathroom and it smelled inviting. The fragrance was calming and home-like. Not a $250,000 town home type smell! This smell was definitely upper echelon like a $750,000 gated community smell! The hygienist was professional and communicated each procedure that was done. My dentist entered the room and from the beginning she was engaging, patient, smart and honest. My teeth was prepped by another dentist several months ago. This dentist removed my from tooth and shave down a tooth to left and right of the missing toothe for a bridge. My insurance paid the entire procedure except for $500. Her receptionist told me my bridge had arrived and to come right away. Well at that time I did not have the $500 but I was certain she would set up a payment plan or just took me at my word that I was going to pay the balance next payday. Well to make long story short she refused to put the bridge in. And told me to my face that the bridge did not come in! She held my bridge for ransom and said when I get the $500 I can have the bridge. At that point, I told her to return all the money Delta Dental gave her for my procedure because I will never do business with her again nor will my sister who referred me. Also, word of mouth goes a long way. My appearance means everything to me so I was devastated to have to look into my wife’s eyes each time she had to look at me with no tooth in the front and two shaved teeth! Well that negative turned into a positive yesterday because Exceptional Dentistry is now my new dental home…
We had an amazing experience with Dr. Kristen Berning!! Our 2 month old daughter had a lip tie, tongue tie and cheek (buccal) tie. She was struggling with nursing and eating from a bottle too. She was not gaining weight like she should have been. Our baby girl was gone from us for the laser procedure for less than 5 minutes! She wasn’t even really fussy afterwards! We HIGHLY recommend Dr. Kristen for correcting oral ties!!

While it may seem odd to some, I actually enjoy my dental checkups. Everyone always greet me with a smile and a friendly hello by name. Making the switch to Exceptional Dentistry 5 years ago was the best decision I made for our dental health. We've learned a lot and have put it to use. I just wanted to sincerely thank you all again for such an amazing, positive, first-time experience in your ‘dentistry home’! I’m not even going to call it an ‘office’ because it’s nothing like an office at all! From the second I stepped in, and my senses immediately caught the beautiful aroma in the entryway, I knew I was going to get royal treatment! I was nervous as all heck, but red carpet here we come! I was so very nervous as a first-time patient, not knowing what to expect (given my past history and worried I’d be frowned upon). I walked out of your ‘home’ totally floored and in shock that you all have such a genuinely compassionate personality about you (and funny too!). You were all so darn sweet that I was almost in tears! You really do live up to your ‘Exceptional Dentistry’ motto, as I felt very special today in your care. Dr. Murray, you have chosen your team well, and I am already amazed with you in one visit. When I was there I felt as if I was your only patient that day (good thing I wasn’t cuz you wouldn’t make any money that way! LOL) But you and your awesome team catered to me as if I was, and this is how it should be no matter where you go – but it’s not…so thank you. I know I have a little bit of a road ahead of me to achieve the beautiful smile I desire – but I trust you – I knew that after today’s visit that I made the right choice to come see you. I have none. As the staff is now aware, I’m scared to death of dentists! Everyone made me feel secure and assured me that all would/will be okay. I’m still scared, but do know that everyone actually cares about me and my health and will do the best they can to make me comfortable in whatever procedures need to be done to give me back a healthy mouth and a healthy smile! Best dental experience I have ever had! My anxiety isn’t gone, but it is diminished to the point I’ll be able to finally give my teeth the dental care they deserve on a regular basis. I went from being tortured at the dentist to being cared about. I didn’t believe it was possible. ‘Exceptional’ describes Dr. Murray and his staff perfectly!
